TextBuddy Version 1.0.5 Release Notes

  • New: Added “Keep Only URLs” command.
  • New: Added “Get Current Safari Page Source” command. (Thanks to P-D for the suggestion.)
  • New: Drag and drop a text file (or other text document) onto the main window to load its contents.
  • New: By popular demand, added a presence to allow numbering lines starting from 0 or 1.
  • New: The “Send to TextBuddy” macOS service will respect your current Replace / Append / Prepend mode selection. If you choose Append or Prepend, you can now quickly collect multiple text snippets from other apps in a row before processing them at once in TextBuddy.
  • New: Enabled a super secret nerdy new feature that I’ll be tweeting and blogging about soon.* Fixed: Prevent TextBuddy from hanging when a screen capture is started before the previous one’s results are accepted. (Thanks to Chris and Matthias.)
  • Fixed: Text insertion caret now is now the correct height when positioned at the end of the text or when the document is empty. Thanks, Christian!
  • Fixed: When the “Show window when TextBuddy Becomes Active” preference was enabled, the command palette would disappear when running the “Process With TextBuddy” macOS service. (Thanks, Brett.)
  • Fixed: Don’t melt your CPU when editing really, really long text documents. (This isn’t 100% fixed, but it’s way better than before.)
  • Fixed: Resolved a bug where the entire contents of the text document might not always be replaced after running a command.
